Hello everyone! Champian has finally started a blog! Her friends at Earbits (an online radio station) have asked her to contribute on a regular basis and her first post went viral tonight. Below is a short preview, click the related link to read the full post.

I like to say that I provide “Jazz for all Occasions” and, in keeping with that sentiment, I work all different types of gigs from concerts, dances, weddings, summer Jazz camps, fashion shows, festivals – really anything! I am thankful every time I get to swing with my band and I believe there is a good time to be had, or a valuable lesson to be learned, from every gig. Some gigs are more work than others, some gigs are more work than they’re worth, and then, on very rare occasions, gigs are just FUN....

We have been inundated with questions about where to purchase "Sometimes I'm Happy". The album was released only in Japan in 2008, so it is difficult to find in the US.

There is an import website where you can easily order the album. It ships in 2 days from the US. (Eastwind Import - click the link below to open the page)

You can also find copies on eBay (sometimes!) but as of right now there is no way to digitally download the album.

Friday, November 20th, 2009 | Champian Receives American Music Harvest Award & the New CD
November 19, Champian received an award from the American Harvest Music Society for Best Jazz Vocalist & Pianist in 2009. (You can see a pic of the award in the photos section).

Also, Champian completed recording the new trio CD this week! You can read Champian's blog about the recording process and see exclusive pictures and hear mp3s off the board at Champian's Pledge Music page (click link).

Pledge Music is helping Champian to raise the $$ to complete the CD Project. You can pre-order a CD and, if you're so inclined, contribute money to the project for different incentives and exclusive updates during the process.
