Vocalist and pianist Champian Fulton returns with House Party, a swinging new trio album recorded live at Turtle Bay headquarters during an intimate house concert last March. Joined by her longtime working trio — Hide Tanaka on bass and Fukushi Tainaka on drums, Champian delivers music that is lively, joyful, and deeply personal, capturing the spirit of songs made in the moment and shared among friends.
The album also features special guest appearances by saxophonists Klas Lindquist, the alto player heard on last year’s At Home, and Cory Weeds, a tenor saxophonist whose “New York with Weeds” audience brought extra energy to the room that night. They join the trio on select tracks, culminating in a full-ensemble performance that turns the evening into a true house party.
Singles roll out this spring:
February 27 — I Cried for You
March 13 — One by One
March 27 — Get Out of Town
April 10 — Album Release: House Party
Pre-orders will open soon, and the album will be available through the Turtle Bay website, including a vinyl edition featuring a special track not included on the CD or digital releases—perfect for collectors and longtime listeners.
